Underground Utility Construction and Excavation Management: C.E.T. Led Project Control
Specialized Contract Management
As a Performance-driven Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) with over 14 years of experience, my core specialization lies in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, including pipelines, municipal utilities, and earthworks.
Key Project Control Capabilities:
• Project Leadership & Coordination: Experience includes construction logistics planning to address limited work spaces, crew access, excavations, and earthworks. Providing municipal oversight and coordination for the Rogers Fibre Optic High-Speed Internet Project, ensuring stringent compliance 5–10 underground utility construction crews of up to approximately 50 workers across multiple work sites.
• Precision Field Engineering and Layout: Expertise in layout, quantities, and benchmarking utilizing a total station and digital theodolite. Specialized in excavation design and determining precise minimum cover, separation, and alignment for mainline construction of 8-inch to 48-inch pipelines.
• Heavy Civil Technical Services: Layout, quantities, and site coordination for infrastructure projects.
• Specialized Earthworks: Excavations, underground utilities, and lot development.
• Deep Excavation Management: Experience with complex deep excavation methods, including slide rail systems and sheet piling. Managed highly complex crossing challenges (e.g., rivers, roads, railways) utilizing specialized techniques including HDD, DPI, and open cut methods.
• Regulatory Compliance: Expertise in administering Municipal Access Agreements and monitoring traffic control compliance (Ontario Traffic Manual, Book 7).
